Female leadership was once again the focus at the fourth edition of the Women’s Leadership Forum organized by La Razón, a key platform that brought together prominent voices from the business and academic world to discuss challenges, opportunities, and the real impact of diversity on corporate results.

Among the speakers, Sara Herrero, Vice Dean of Academic Planning and Financial Management at EAE Madrid, stood out by addressing the crucial role of women in universities. “All universities are called to be benchmarks of equality,” emphasized the Vice Dean.

The event, inaugurated by Francisco Marhuenda, director of La Razón, and Rocío Albert, Minister of Economy, Finance, and Employment of the Community of Madrid, served as a space for reflection on the role of women in the economy of the future.

Topics discussed during the forum included female leadership in the era of artificial intelligence, female entrepreneurship and talent, work-life balance and shared responsibilities, and education as a driver of inclusion. The discussion also addressed the so-called glass and concrete ceilings, which still limit women’s access to top executive positions.

According to data cited during the forum, Spain remains a European leader in female representation in senior management, although women CEOs account for only 19.3%. Women-led entrepreneurship continues to grow, with over 1.2 million projects initiated by women, especially in innovative and digital sectors.

In addition to Herrero, participants included Inés Temes (Fundación Telefónica), Enrique Fernández Puertas (Repsol), and Ángela Botelho (Philip Morris), in a panel moderated by Angie Rigueiro, journalist and presenter at Antena 3 Noticias.

The forum concluded by highlighting the value of collaboration and women’s professional networks as drivers of visibility, influence, and real change in corporate culture.
