Frequently asked questions about academic continuity

If you have completed a Higher Vocational Training cycle (CFGS) and earned a Senior Technician degree, you can access university directly without taking the entrance exam (EBAU). In some cases, taking the specific phase exam can help improve your university entry grades.

The average grade of your vocational cycle is your access grade (maximum 10). If the degree you seek has a higher cutoff mark, you can add up to 4 additional points by taking the specific phase of the EBAU. Students coming from Vocational Training compete for the same spots as high school students, as there are currently no reserved quotas for Vocational Training.

Yes, you can transfer up to 60 ECTS credits, depending on the relationship between the completed cycle and the chosen degree. Each university will determine the transferable subjects.

With a Senior Technician degree, you can apply for access to any of the degrees at our associated universities and schools. However, if there is no thematic affinity, credits will not be recognized.

You can enroll in a Master's degree if you hold an official Spanish university degree or equivalent, or a degree from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) that grants access to postgraduate studies. In some cases, training supplements or specific criteria may be required depending on the program.

People holding degrees from educational systems outside the EHEA that are equivalent to a Bachelor's degree can apply. Equivalence does not require formal recognition (homologation) of the degree, but it does require verification by the university of the training level attained, provided that the issuing country allows access to university postgraduate studies with said degree. In no case does access via this route imply the formal homologation of the degree.

Yes. PFU Master's degrees can be taken in face-to-face, blended, or online modalities, with full-time or part-time dedication options to balance your studies with your professional or personal life.

Some universities allow a conditional Master’s Degree enrollment for students who only have the Final Degree Project (TFG) or up to 9 ECTS pending. In no case can the Master's degree be obtained without having finished the Bachelor's degree.
