UNIE Universidad hosts the OEI seminar: ‘Higher education and productivity: towards a competitive future in Ibero-America’
Reflection, talent and collaboration to promote the future of higher education in Ibero-America. Planeta Formación y Universidades and UNIE Universidad participated in the International Seminar ‘Higher Education and Productivity: towards a competitive future in Ibero-America’, an initiative of the Ibero-American Institute for Education and Productivity.
UNIE's Arapiles campus hosted experts, academic leaders and representatives of the productive sector on a key day to discuss the role of higher education in the development of talent, employability and innovation in the region and the challenges of the labour market and digital transformation. Segundo Píriz, Rector of UNIE, participated in the first panel of experts, together with Mariano Jabonero, Secretary of the OEI, Enrique Iglesias, member of the Governing Board of the OEI Institute and Enrique García, also a member of the Governing Board and former President of CAF.
Jordi Marin, Director of the Centre for Innovation in Applied AI, Planeta Formación y Universidades - Nex·ia, also took part in one of the panels, giving his views on the impact of AI on employability and the future of education. Topics such as digital skills, university-business collaboration and the incorporation of emerging technologies were at the centre of the debate, reaffirming the need for higher education to be connected to reality.
