EAE Business School Graduates More Than 2,000 Students with a Message of Human-Centered Leadership in the Face of AI

More than 2,000 MBA and master’s students from EAE Business School Madrid graduated at the Madrid Arena during a ceremony that highlighted leadership, trust, and positive impact. The class patron, Patricia Pérez, Corporate General Manager of Atresmedia, reminded the graduates that the main challenge facing their generation will not be technological, but human. 

The event brought together students, faculty, and representatives from Planeta Formación Universidades to celebrate the conclusion of an academic chapter and champion a leadership style based on integrity, responsibility, and commitment to society.

The great challenge facing your generation will be a profoundly human one

In a context marked by the advancement of artificial intelligence, Patricia Pérez encouraged recent graduates to build professional careers grounded in the trust they inspire in others. During her remarks, she emphasized that technical knowledge is important, but reminded the audience that the true strategic asset is the ability to inspire trust in teams, clients, and organizations. The corporate CEO of Atresmedia also urged students to make thoughtful decisions, learn from their mistakes, and not confuse professional success with the impact each person has on those around them.

To conclude his speech, he emphasized the value of integrity as an essential quality for future leaders: “The world needs competent professionals. But above all, it needs people of integrity.”

EAE is committed to leadership that makes a positive impact

The ceremony was attended by academic and institutional representatives from Planeta Formación Universidades, including Montserrat Civera, academic director, and José Ramos, general director for Madrid and Valencia. During her remarks, Montserrat Civera reminded the graduates that knowledge acquires real value when it is put to work for the common good. She also encouraged them to pursue their careers guided by three principles inspired by classical philosophy—truth, goodness, and beauty—as the foundation for becoming committed professionals and individuals.

Students put the finishing touches on a period of growth

The class representatives—Christian Elias Monge, María Gimena Passarino, and Nicolle Ann Wever—spoke on behalf of their classmates to reflect on the significance of a period marked by learning, hard work, and personal growth. Their speeches reflected the transition from academic life to the start of a new professional chapter.

EAE recognizes talent, innovation, and academic excellence

The ceremony also served to recognize some of the projects, professionals, and organizations that stood out during the 2025–2026 academic year. Among the award recipients were: The EAE Emprende Award went to NEXA, a smart pharmaceutical waste management project developed by Yamile Angulo, Alejandra Ocampo, and Daniela Chevez, which has been recognized in national and international competitions for its innovative and sustainable approach. In addition, BNP Paribas received the Top Recruiter Award for its collaboration with the school’s talent, while the Top Teaching Excellence Award honored the teaching work of Victoria Eugenia Sánchez and Marta Álvarez Manero.

Meanwhile, in the section dedicated to students, Estefanía Bello received the Top Talent Award for her Identy-F project, which made her an Iberian finalist in the L'Oréal Brandstorm 2026 competition. The award for the best academic record went to David Molinera Muñoz, an Executive MBA student.

The dean encourages people to lead purpose-driven companies

The graduation ceremony concluded with remarks by Tomás Aznar, dean of EAE Business School Madrid, who urged the graduates to use the knowledge they had acquired to make a positive impact on society. The dean encouraged the graduating class to develop business projects capable of driving progress, equity, and sustainability, noting that leadership is also measured by the human impact of the decisions made by those who lead organizations.
