AI makes the leap to our classrooms with Planeta Formación y Universidades and Google

From Planeta Formación y Universidades - Nex·ia, the Centre for Innovation in Applied AI in alliance with Google and Deloitte, we are launching a massive AI education initiative aimed at students and teachers, with the aim of integrating this technology as a differential value in our institutions. 

 

The first training session with Google that took place at the UNIE Universidad campus on the 24th of April for the entire academic community of Planeta Formación y Universidades marks the beginning of this initiative with the presentation of the course ‘’Basic AI by Google‘’, a training course designed for participants to understand the basics of AI and discover how to apply it in a practical way in their day-to-day work. 

 

Conchita Díaz Cantarero, lead AI trainer for Google globally, explained how tools such as Gemini can help us automate tasks, generate ideas and solve problems more efficiently. Conchita stressed that "it is essential for teachers to be trained in AI nowadays, as it is completely changing the way we are going to learn. AI will allow us to create personalised content and update the gaps in our curricula."
