The Embassy of Colombia and Planeta Formación y Universidades will offer more than 270 new study aids for Colombian residents in Spain
The Embassy of Colombia and Planeta Formación y Universidades present the second edition of their study aids programme, the result of collaboration between the two entities. This initiative aims to support and promote higher education for professionals and young Colombians living in Spain who stand out for their merits and academic level and who wish to grow professionally and set themselves new challenges and goals to generate progress and change within their environment.
This programme of study aids is part of the Cooperation Protocol signed between the Embassy and Planeta Formación y Universidades in 2022. In the 2024-2025 call for applications, 276 new aids will be offered to access courses in: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Intermediate Level Training Cycle, Higher Level Training Cycle, Continuing Education and PhD.
The presentation ceremony of the new edition of these aids took place at the headquarters of Planeta Formación y Universidades, on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona, and was presided over by José Creuheras, President of Grupo Planeta, and by Eduardo Ávila, Ambassador of Colombia in Spain.
The event was also attended by the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Carlos Giménez; Andrea Pulido, General Director of Planeta Formación y Universidades for LATAM; the Minister Plenipotentiary of the Colombian Embassy, María Andrea Torres Moreno; and the Consul General of Colombia in Barcelona, Germán Federico Grisales.
Through the agreement, both parties are committed to continue promoting access to higher education for Colombians living in Spain who stand out for their academic merits.
The programme of study aids for Colombian citizens residing in Spain includes three types of aids: 1) those that cover 100% of the cost of education, 2) those that cover 75% and 3) those that cover 50% of the cost of education.
The call for applications for these aids will open on 11 May and will end on 14 July 2024. Students can register online through the website: https://ayudasestudiocol.planetaformacion.com.
The Planeta Formación y Universidades institutions and universities participating in this programme are: Barcelona Culinary Hub, BIU University, EAE Business School, Esdesign, Iberonex, iFP Innovación en Formación Profesional, INESDI Business Techschool, OBS Business School, Ostelea, Rome Buisness School, The Core School, UNIE Universidad, Universidad Internacional de Valencia - VIU and Universitat Carlemany.
During the ceremony, Eduardo Ávila Navarrete, Ambassador of Colombia, stressed that ‘the training of young people is the key to the progress of any country and, as a representative of our country, I would like to thank Planeta Formación y Universidades for providing this educational opportunity to all those young people who strive every day to build a better future’.
