Planeta Formación y Universidades and Fundación Mujeres por África have signed a collaboration agreement to grant scholarships to female African students pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees at the Planeta Formación y Universidades schools on its Rabat campus.

The agreement was made official at a signing event held at the Grupo Planeta headquarters, which was attended by José Creuheras, President of Grupo Planeta; María Teresa Fernández de la Vega, President of Fundación Mujeres por África; and Carlos Giménez, CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades.

The President of Grupo Planeta, José Creuheras; the President of Fundación Mujeres por África, María Teresa Fernández de la Vega; and the CEO of Planeta Formación y Universidades, Carlos Giménez, have agreed to collaborate for the third consecutive year on a university scholarship programme as part of the "Learn Africa" project, the scholarship programme run by Fundación Mujeres por África. The programme aims to contribute to African development through women by promoting knowledge transfer and the training of young people in the African continent.

Since 2013, Learn Africa, in collaboration with nearly forty Spanish universities, has brought more than two hundred young female university students to Spain from virtually every African country.

Planeta Formación y Universidades has commited to providing scholarships to four students on its university campus in Rabat. Two of them will go on to pursue th Licence en Tourisme International from the OSTELEA Tourism Management School, and the other two will pursue the Licence en Administration des Affaires at ESLSCA Business School. These scholarships cover 100% of the tuition and enrolment fees for the three-year duration of the courses. Moreover, a further five students will receive grants covering 50% of the tuition and enrolment fees for the Marketing Digital et e-business, Trading et Finance des marchés, and Finance d'entreprises master's programmes at ESLSCA Business School. All scholarchips will be assigned through a selection process based on the candidates' academic grades, social circumstances and motivation.

Planeta Formación y Universidades is integrating this collaboration into its commitment to transforming people and enriching society through knowledge. Throughout the three-year collaboration, the scholarchip students will achieve outstanding academic results in their undergraduate studies, and in 2021, the first group from the Licence en Tourisme International will graduate after a semester at OSTELEA Barcelona. So far, the performance of the six scholarship students has been excellent, both in terms of a strictly academic assessment as well as their involvement, commitment, attitude and desire to participate.
