Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana, a university institution based in Bogotá, offers more than 30 programmes across its five schools: Health Sciences, Education, Human and Social Sciences, Business Sciences an Engineering.
It has been known as a leader in digital education since 2015, thanks to an infrastructure focused on virtual training in more than 300 locations in Colombia, as well as its international standing and recognition at a national level. It currently has more than 12.000 students across Colombia, who make use of its technological resources and digital platforms.
IBERO has been praised for developing and maintaining a project based on educational inclusion that promotes "comprehensive training" and seeks to allow its graduates and students to sustainably contribute to the country's cultural, political, social and economic development with a focus on human development.
Our institution was established more than 40 years ago, when Dr. Mercedes Patiño, director emeritus of Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana, and her husband, Dr. Luis Hernando Ramírez Collazos, a psychologist at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico, returned to Colombia in 1971 with the aim of creating and educational centre for cognitively diverse children and young people. Today, our students face no limitations in terms of access to higher education and can fulfill their dreams of studying and building a professional career.
Corporación Universitaria Iberoamericana offers three types of programmes - classroom-based, distance-learning and online - and various levels of training: Technician, Professional Technician, Technological, Professional, Specialist and Master.
Since 2015, online training has been promoted in response to the needs of our students; ensuring that proximity to university campuses is not an obstacle so those who are seeking to improve their skills can adapt the training to their current circumstances.
